Sims 4 Hair Physics

Comments
- edited May 2013But that would mean you'd need better computers for it too.
- edited May 2013Whist moving hair and clothes would be nice, as the poster above me suggested, it might be too much for most computers to handle especially if you have lots of Sims in one area.
For realism I think it's more important to have realistic facial expressions and facial features (like in Sims Medieval). Subtlety and expressiveness over fancy graphics.
Then that allows the gameplay itself to be deeper. - edited May 20130
- edited May 2013Yeah, physics would be really neat but I highly doubt TS4 would be anything like that, maybe TS5. TS3 is already way behind in technology even when it was available then as far as physics, they seemed to skip that part which is strange for a game that is supposed to be a life simulator. I'm sure I remember TS2 in CAS had it slightly with hair. Don't know what happened in TS3..odd.
I would like to see if nothing else at least realistic hair movement that gravity affects and hair/clothes/skin having the wet/dry look when in/out of the pool, shower, hot tub, etc.0 - edited May 2013Yeah, physics would be really neat but I highly doubt TS4 would be anything like that, maybe TS5. You have a good point with the Sims 2, I didn't play it but I have seen 'let's plays.' It is odd that they skipped something like that.
We can only hope for some features like that. - edited May 2013This is the second topic I have seen on moving breasts.. Was never a big concern for me, but each to their own.

I thought the same thing. I can live without breast moving but hair would be nice - edited May 2013Hair movement like TS2 would be cool! As for the breasts I don't see why they should move.0
- edited May 2013I personally don't understand why needing a better computer is a bad thing..? With how fast technology moves these days, it's a good idea to update your PC every few years anyway.
On topic..I'd LOVE for there to be physics in the game! I'd love to see a sim's hair and clothing move when they do. It could work if they only animated the sims nearest you and the ones farther off have static clothing and hair. As for jiggle-tech, I'd personally love to see it. It doesn't have to be just for breasts, but for plumper sims as well. It'd be funny to see a sim's bum or tummy jiggle when they move. :P0 - edited May 2013Hair yes, Clothing possibly, Breasts pointless. What's next man bits jigging around when they go for a jog???
It's a game not a peep show or adult reality simulator. - edited May 2013I personally don't understand why needing a better computer is a bad thing..? With how fast technology moves these days, it's a good idea to update your PC every few years anyway.
Games should move with the times, but it's not a good idea to have a wide appeal game which only runs on a minority of expensive computers at the time of release.
If they do implement this, I'm worried that many computers won't be able to handle lots of physics in the game with all the other features of Sims.
Perhaps they could have an tick box for it..? Or perhaps it could just be the hair which moves. - edited May 2013my gosh people, how much reality do we need in a GAME! I don't want Breast moving or any other body part moving it is unnecessary to have this. they have no other purpose for the game other than moving. This is not for me.

Yes, but not everyone has money for a new/expensive computer or upgrades, and I'd like to be able to play the game I've spent so much time and money on over the years..the more people they can appeal to the better, thats why there are minimum specs. I would love to be able to upgrade, trust me if I could I would. I bought my laptop in 2011 so theres no need for a new one, it just isn't that great at running the game (macbook) and being unemployed at the moment and basically home-bound, its not that easy for me to just upgrade whenever I please. Sorry if this comes off as rude, it just gets to me when people say things as if everyone can just run out and get a new computer or upgrades.
Back on topic, no thanks, I don't have any desire to see my sims breasts move (lol)Hair yes, Clothing possibly, Breasts pointless. What's next man bits jigging around when they go for a jog???

I'm sorry but this had me CRACKING up lol.0 - edited May 2013With regards to people's computers not being good enough to run such a high-graphics game, could it not be introduced as a setting that you turn on or off (or a slider) much like they already use in the options they have in Sims 3? You can turn various graphics sections on and off now, so why not for life-like movement? There are a significant enough number of people who have very good computers for them to consider introducing such a feature. I have been a mac user since I was a little child with an ancient mac in my bedroom (and a Sims player since the very first game came out), but am actually considering getting a gaming PC for the Sims 4. I would use it for work as well, but its principle function would be for the sims. I'm going to spend a fair bit of money on a powerful machine, so it would be nice to know that the game will be a large step-up from the graphics they currently have to make it seem worthwhile.

Agreed. That sort of thing tends to just feed into adolescent fantasies. - edited May 2013well if I want to see boosoms move in my game, then I'll switch it over to Grand Theft Auto 4 and other console games that has this, seriously I want hair and clothes animations, go play Saints Row the third to see this happen(the boosoms move that is) this will bump up the ERBS rating if this was to happen.
- edited May 2013If I may interject quickly and vanish, I don't think anyone here is thinking of close up shots of jiggling breasts for no reason. I mean, let's face it! The best bra in the world can't completely stop movement. It doesn't need to be very visible, but you could add it as a tiny detail without making the game totally inappropriate. Not necessarily endorsing it, just saying that there's an in-between. (okay I'm done)
Anyway, movement would be awesome, I'd really love to see hair move! Curls would be a nightmare to do properly, but if they could pull it off I'd spend half the time just making my sims walk in circles to see their hair bounce and sway. Ooh, and breezy skirts or dresses would look amazing if they fluttered in the breeze!
Edit for additional comment: Oh! And like SuicidalSpiders said, it doesn't have to be just breasts, jiggling fat would be a silly and fun addition, too. I don't know, I just support more movements.0 - edited May 2013Hair- yes. Skirts? If they don't blow up like Marilyn Monroe's, maybe. Err.. breasts? No, just no. I get awkward enough about those things in real life without it ruining my happy, lovely, look! There's a unicorn! Virtual life. Though, that's kinda off the subject, I get what your talking about, not making the sims like walking statues. Your point is legit.
- edited May 2013I agree that hair should move like TS2, so let's see0

says the toddler on the leftWill be editing this signature, in the meantime, check out my YouTube channel! https://www.youtube.com/user/XxSimsMovieGirlxX - edited March 2014sure it would be nice if the hair moved a little bit but its not really something we need and it it means I can't afford to play the game because I'd need a better computer I would rather it not be included in the game
- edited March 2014Rather wanting the devs to develop a good and fun gameplay than keep the idea that they are focusing on unecessary amount of work on graphics.0
- edited March 2014I think I'm in agreement with most of the folks. Hair and clothing moving would be nice but body parts jiggling..naw, not for me. Now if that makes the game to much for my computer to handle and I have to buy a new computer just to play a game then it becomes less important.
I mean hey to be honest I'm just glad the hair doesn't stick straight out when a sim binds over like in TS1. - edited March 2014This would be awesome, but I doubt that this would actually be done by the TS4 team, as they are aiming for making TS4 playable on a wider variety of rigs than TS3. Also, it would be costly and time-consuming to add more physics. It would be better if resources were focused into improving the overall aspect of gameplay and ironing out the bugs.
Pricefield forever.

MTS:SimsForever15Origin: vba152318 Paradox:PixelsSquaredSimblr:PixelsSquared - edited March 2014Don't care about moving breasts, really. Hair with some physics would be awesome. I'd kill to have some physics on some of the clothes, but they are not meant to have those, and it'd take way too much computer power for most people (me included :P). And like someone else mentioned, having the dry/wet look on the sims and clothes could really take things to a whole new level of awesome.
Sims 4 model is low res with jagged edges and horrible cheap texture, not as high res as the video. If they made modification to a sims 4 model in the video other than adding physics, then they're essentially creating a new mesh.Jagged edges and cheap textures? Ms office for mac.
